2014 Nissan Qashqai spied

Nissan is a company that is constantly at work, trying to design and manufacture various types of vehicles meant to please as many people as possible. And do this with the idea that any car they make should be a symbol of freedom and a reflection of the owner’s personality. One of their projects that is currently being under development is the new 2014 Nissan Qashqai. Some spy shots with the car are now available and they provide a few details about the vehicle.

This second generation of Nissan Qashqai, the 2014 model, will impress the world with its innovative design. Some elements from the Hi-cross Concept presented at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show are borrowed for this car. The Qashqai will certainly not be a seven seater, as Nissan is planning to attack that segment with a new X-Trail. It is very possible that the vehicle will be based on the new Nissan modular platform.  The standard vehicle will have a front-wheel drive, while all wheel drive can be ordered for some extra money.

Regarding the engine configuration, the 2014 Nissan Qashqai may have various types of engine. A 1.6-liter diesel engine and a supercharged 1.2-liter gasoline engine rated at 113 bhp (84 kW) and 140 lb-ft (190 Nm) of torque will most likely be available. A plug-in hybrid version is in question, being very desired by the company to align to the current trend in the auto field. However this won't be available until at least 2015.
