2014 Subaru BRZ STI teased

Subaru is working on the new Subaru BRZ STI and in order to keep the public interested it has just teased the future coming vehicle. The automobile manufacturing division on the Japanese company Fuji Heavy Industries is famous worldwide for using the boxer engine layout in most of its vehicles above 1500 cc and also for the use of all wheel drive train layout which have become the standard equipment for the Subaru cars.  So it is very probable to use the same elements in the company’s recently teased BRZ STI.

The Subaru BRZ STI will most likely be revealed in November at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The concept previewing this vehicle has already been introduced two years ago on the occasion of the same auto event. Although the producer hasn’t been to generous with the information regarding the new vehicle, it’s almost certain that it will feature a more aggressive and a more aerodynamic body kit consisting of a larger rear wing, updated side skirts, front lip spoiler, a modified front grille. A set of 18 inch alloys will be set on the car and also some four piston STI brakes.

There is a rumor according to which the Subaru BRZ STI will not benefit of the turbocharging treatment because of the lack of space that apparently doesn’t allow the installation of an intercooler. The engine is expected to develop 232 HP (171 kW), this making it 32 HP (23 kW) more powerful than the current model. More details are about to emerge as the L.A. Motor Show is approaching.
