GMC introduces new vehicles at the Texas State Fair

Originally founded by Louis Chevrolet and ousted General Motors founder William C. Durant on November 3, 1911 as the Chevrolet Motor Car Company, it was then acquired by General Motors in 1918. Chevrolet-branded vehicles are sold in most automotive markets worldwide, with plenty of success. It seems that very soon the GMC will introduce the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe and also the Yukon XL. The presentation will take place on the occasion of the Texas State Fair which begins on 27th September.

The Truth about Cars states that the two SUVs, the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe and also the Yukon XL will have their official release at the Texas event. The rumor tends to be confirmed by some GMC officials who have stated some time back ago that the Yukon would be introduced somewhere around 20th September. So the timing seems perfect. The SUVs will most likely borrow a few details from the Silverado and the Sierra relatives. This means that the vehicles might be powered by a 4.3 liter EcoTec3 V6 that generates   285 bhp (212 kW) and 305 lb-ft (413 Nm) of torque, or a 5.3 liter EcoTec3 V8 producing 355 bhp (265 kW) and 383 lb-ft (518 Nm) of torque, or even by the 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8 outputting 420 bhp (313 kW) and 450 lb-ft (609 Nm) of torque.
