Suzuki and Volkswagen still have issues

As we all know, Suzuki and Germans from Volkswagen have been trying to work out a partnership for some time now. According to a new report, released a few days ago, the claims have been rejected, or at least this is what we have heard. The man who declared all this is Toshihiro Suzuki, Executive Vice president, who sounded quite angry about it. The man explained the fact that there have been several reports released so far, but that none of them are true. Most of us believed that the carmakers are one the verge of getting to a common result, but apparently that is not going to happen any time soon. The deal started two years ago and the specialists have not managed to reach an agreement, not even today. For now, the two automakers are interacting at board level mainly because they try to resolve their past differences which you may recall regarding the 20 % problem Suzuki had with the German two years ago. This is the main reason for their gatherings and not new partnerships. We do have to admit that the Japanese company will have a lot to gain by joining forces with Volkswagen, but even so, they are doing quite well if we take a look at the operating profits in the April to June period. They are expecting a 10 % increase this year in comparison with 2012. These are all the details we have on the complicated matter for now.
