Infiniti Q30 Concept teased

The story of Infiniti begins with the formation of a top-secret task force within Nissan. Its mission was to create a new performance luxury brand to compete with the big U.S. and European luxury brands in the American market. It received the name Infiniti. And now the company is about to introduce the Infiniti Q30 Concept. This will happen at the Frankfurt Motor Show scheduled in September. Until then we can study the teaser photo provided by the brand.

The Infiniti Q30 Concept represents the preview for a future approaching model which will certainly be a step forward in keeping and improving the design philosophy which started with the Q50. Other concepts such as the Essence, the Etherea and the Emerg-e will lend some features to the next generation vehicle. The Q30, as the name suggests, comes below the Q50. This means it has a cheaper price and it is smaller. It could very easily be a powerful opponent for the other models in its segment.

The Infiniti Q30 Concept is the first vehicle of the brand that will be heavily influenced by Sebastien Vettel’s thinking who has recently become the Infiniti’s Director of Performance. The other changes the company has suffered could also be reflected in this concept. And we are talking here about the fact that the brand has also got a new design director in the person of Alfonso Albaisa who will surely bring some novelties.  The production model based on the concept will very likely be built in Sunderland, U.K. It is expected to be available starting 2015.
