Honda is getting ready for investments

Apparently Honda will make an investment of around $215 million. The money will go into different Ohio operations which will complete the North American operations up to $2.7 billion in three years. The official announcement was made at the 2013 center For Automotive Research Management Briefing Seminars in Traverse City. These new investments bring to nearly $2.7 billion the amount Honda has invested in its North American operations in the last three years. Previous investments have helped introduce new direct injection engines and to localize production of advanced pulley components for continuously variable transmissions assembled at the transmission plant localized in Ohio. This new $35 million facility is scheduled to open in the fall of 2014. The center will showcase the accomplishments of Honda during the 36 years since the company announced in 1977 that it would establish a production operation in Ohio. The carmaker is also implementing now advanced technologies and introducing new products at all of its plants in the US. Just for a better idea, only in Ohio, the company has made more than $1 billion in the lat three years.

Honda started working in America in 1959 and now has more than 33.000 associates in its North American sales, R&D and manufacturing operations with a capital investment of more than $22 billion. These are all the details available on the new project Honda has developed, but for sure we will hear more on it soon.
