Cadillac ATS- V powered by the twin turbo 3.6 liter V6 engine

Cadillac ATS- V is a name that we haven’t heard about for a long time now. Founded more than one hundred years ago in Detroit, its producer, Cadillac was and still is the automotive expression of the American dream. It combines great performance, daring design and ultimate technology. So why not put those three together to revive the ATS- V model?

The first step in the modernization of the Cadillac ATS- V is equipping it with the brand’s twin-turbo 3.6 liter V6 engine. Since the engine is Cadillac's first twin-turbo unit, engineers focused on making it refined and powerful. It is currently used on the XTS V Sport and the CTS V Sport. With the first one it produces 410 bhp (305 kW) and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque and with the other model it generates 420 bhp (313 kW) and 430 lb-ft (583 Nm) of torque. And just for a slight comparison, the most powerful ATS engine is the naturally-aspirated 3.6-liter V6 which outputs 321 bhp (239 kW) and 274 lb-ft (371 Nm) of torque. It is clear this way that we will have a very much improved ATS- V version.

There is little information about the features that we will find in the new Cadillac ATS- V model. It should come with a more aggressive body containing some updated bumpers, a modified grille and an improved exhaust system. The new Caddy might be introduced by the beginning of 2014. Hopefully, there will be some news before it arrives.
