The 2014 European Kia Soul can be ordered from early next year

The 65th International Frankfurt Motor Show 2013 that will take place next month will host the new second-generation of the 2014 Kia Soul. The South Korean manufacturer will present the European version of the Soul model that shares its platform with the newest Kia Cee’d. This coupling assures better road behavior and handling.

The exterior look is classic, keeping the same compact features for this version too and it has no features that will take your eyes on. As a matter of fact this quadratic still is one that either you like or you don’t. The 2014 Soul has a roomier interior that provides more luggage space and a more comfortable ride for the passengers. The model also has lower CO2 emissions than its predecessors and it is expected to have the same five star safety rating from Euro NCAP that places Kia Soul among the safest B-segment family cars in the world. The dimensions of the vehicle have increased, the model getting a wider track, a 4 percent larger cargo area (now reaching 354 liters) comparing to the outgoing model and also a longer wheelbase.

As part of the 2014 upgrades, the European Soul model is fitted with an improved 1.6-litre CRDi diesel engine borrowed from the previous version that now has a better fuel autonomy and lower emissions. It is expected that the mill will be linked to an automatic gearbox or a new six-speed manual gearbox. For those who want to order a 2014 Kia Soul they have to wait until the beginning of the next year when the model will go on sale across Europe.
