Little known California-based automaker, Bulleta Motors, has just revealed an all-new supercar based on the Lotus Evora and inspired by the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor.
The Bulleta Motors RF22 comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine with an in-house developed supercharger. Coupled to a six-speed manual transmission, this unspecified engine (though most likely Lotus-based) will be delivering 505 horsepower (376kW) and 555 Nm (410 lb-ft) of maximum torque. Weighing in at just 1,363 kg, the new sports car accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in as little as 3.6 seconds and should be able to reach a top speed of 190 mph (305 km/h).
The brakes deserve special mention too, because they are standard ceramics, and the standard 19-inch rims it will come with are made of carbon fiber, with 20-inch forged aluminum ones also optionally available.
From a visual standpoint, the Bulleta Motors RF22 features a completely unique 'sports-car look'. The only real sign that it is in fact based on the Lotus Evora is its overall shape. The RF22 features all-new body panels including a new front bumper incorporating bi-xenon headlights. Another thing to note is the prominent roof scoop. Equipped with a large diffuser with integrated dual exhaust system, and the rims fitted in Michelin Super Sport tires, this super-sport car will most likely give Bulleta Motors a good starting publicity. We'll have to wait for initial reviews, but the photos revealead are indeed very apealing.
Oh, and, let's not forget. RF22 Buyers will receive a “custom made, individually numbered, Swiss mechanical chronograph time piece, matching the serial number of its companion car", to quote the automakers from Cali.
It has not been mentioned whether the car will in fact reach production next year nor how much it will cost nor when it’ll be revealed in flesh. Nevertheless, it’s an exciting prospect!
