You Tube user rides the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse WRC Edition

User NM2255 was just offered a once in a lifetime  opportunity to ride on the passenger`s seat of a Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse World Record Car (WRC) Edition. The user was thus presented with the opportunity of participating in an on board video which took place near Porto Cervo in Italy.

The world`s largest convertible hit a top speed of 408.84 Km/ h (254.04 mp) in April this year. Anthony Liu, the Chinese racing driver who stood behind the wheels declared that: `… This was a very exciting moment. In our training sessions we exceeded 400 km/h (248 mph) but the fact that I could surpass this unbelievable speed once again and even higher has made me very proud. The car is even at such high speeds incredibly comfortable and stable. With an open top, you can really experience the sound of the engine and yet even at higher speeds I did not get compromised by the wind at all.’

The auto is powered by a W16 quad turbo 7.9 liter engine which produces  1.200 HP (882 kW) and 1.106 lb-ft (1.500 Nm) of torque. The motor is connected to a seven speed dual clutch transmission which makes accelerating from 0-100 Km/h in just 2.6 seconds possible.

Earlier this year, Bugatti announced that only eight WRCs will be built with pre-tax pricing starting from €1.99 ($2.60 / £1.69) million.
