The Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan kicked things off for the minivan class on its initial launch in 1983. Since then, Chrysler Group claims they have sold 13 million minivans globall. To celebrate this exciting milestone, the company will offer 30th Anniversary Edition models for both of its minivans, each with additional content and features.
The Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan are built, as always, at Chrysler’s Windsor Assembly plant in Ontario, Canada. The 30th Anniversary Edition models will arrive this fall, all powered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6, which pumps out 283 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
The 2014 Chrysler Town & Country 30th Anniversary Edition is based on the Touring-L model, and receives upgraded interior and exterior features including 17-inch alloy wheels with polished faces and Satin Carbon-finished spoke interiors. The customers will also see a 30th Anniversary badging. The black Alcantara seat inserts with Nappa leather bolsters, a Super Center Console, and stitching on the door armrest make this anniversary edition a fine minivan that buyers can enjoy for many years to come without feeling like they just bought the thing for the anniversary (unless you're into that obviously).
The car also gets the Driver’s Convenience Group package as standard, adding first and second-row heated seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, adjustable pedals, and keyless passive entry.
The 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan will also come out for the 30th Anniversary Edition, offered as an SE or SXT model. All 30th Anniversary Edition minivans are available in an exclusive Granite Crystal Pearl. So if you’re dying to stand out from the crowd, or are such a huge fun of Chrysler that youwant to celebrate the 30years of minivans, the Anniversary models will arrive this fall in the US and Canada.
