2014 Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo detailed

The new 2014 Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo will be showcased at next week`s Frankfurt Motor Show following the gasoline B3 released in march 2013 at the Geneva Motor Show .Alpina has now released information and pictures on the D3 BitTurbo model.  The auto is based on the F30 Series and will be available for purchase later this year.

Under the hood, Alpina will be powered by a 3.0 liter six cylinder  twin turbo engine, just like D5 and XD3 models. This outputs 345 HP (257 Kw) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) torque. This enables the auto to reach from 0 to 62 mph (100 Km/ h) in 4.6 seconds. The top speed is set at 173 mph or 278 Km/ h and the fuel consumption ratings are 5.3 liters / 100 km or 44.3 MPG US with CO2 emissions of 139 g/ Km.

Alpina D3 BiTurbo with feature a rear wheel drive and xDrive setup as a standard and optional limited slip differential  and an all wheel drive setup for left hand models which will be available as well.

The vehicle will shown at this year`s IAA taking place from the 12th-22nd of September. The Frankfurt Motor Show is time and place for all automotive industry to showcase their new creations as it is the world`s most comprehensive show from it`s range. Next week`s edition will consist in presenting passenger cars, trailers, model cars, parts & accessories, tuning, telematics, services as well as test drives.

More detailed information concerning the Alpina D3 BiTurbo will be available next week after its showcased during the Frankfurt Motor Show.
