The 2014 redesigned alignment includes the coupe, estate (Sport Tourer), the hatchback as well as the Renault sport 265 Cup top of the range and the GT Line versions. Renault is undertaking a continuous process of deploying its new design identity amongst its model range, and now it is time for the Megane range to align to the French marque`s newest front-end styling.
The Megane variant has been the brand`s best sold range in Europe since 2008 and has also presented a notable success on the Asian auto market as well due to its road holding capability, performance and nice styling.
According to Renault`s press release, the Megane Eastate, Megane Hatchback and Megane Coupe are to feature the same bonnet and bumper in order to create a greater unity between the models` front ends. The models will also be fitted with newly redesigned elliptical headlights. In spite of all these common traits, the independent car versions will maintain their own distinct identity.
The sport models Megane RS and Megane GT will also appear with a new front-end design, and will boast a more dynamic stance. These models will also be equipped with new headlights with glossy black backgrounds and new alloy wheel designs.
Under the hood, the units will be powered by the same types of engines: 1.2 liter and 1.5 liter as well as the 1.6 liter diesel engine. Interior goodies will include six redesigned upholsteries, Hill Start Assist, R-Plug & radio and new comfort and safety highlights.
The newly uplifted Renault Megane line up will be available for purchase starting next year`s first quarter in the UK dealerships.
