BMW 2-Series Gran Coupe digitally imagined

The pencil and paper’s time has long gone for many of us, the computer users. However, memories remain and everyone remembers moments from the childhood when they used to draw different things just to fill the time or to chase away boredom. There is one guy who remains anchored in his childhood and keeps drawing cars. This is Theophilus Chin and he seems very busy these days. One of the cars he has recently imagined is the Gran Coupe version of the BMW 2-Series.

BMW is planning to launch the 2-Series lineup in 2014 and there are high chances to be presented before the end of this year. Soon after, a soft top convertible will be released and by the time 2015 comes they will also have the 2-Series Gran Coupe ready. So why not anticipate the look of the future vehicle? Mr. Chin thought. And he digitally created a good-looking vehicle which is supposed to battle the other German brands, more precisely the Mercedes-Benz CLA and the Audi A3 Sedan.

The BMW 2-Series will have extra room for the passengers and the size will be bigger compared to the coupe version.  The rest will be left unchanged, even the engine configurations. There will be both gasoline and diesel engines which will work together with a rear-wheel drive layout. A possible Gran Coupe has been spied a few times. The vehicle was powered by a 6-cylinder, 3.0-liter engine outputting 320 HP (235 kW) and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) of torque. With all the details being unclear, we should admire Mr. Chin’s creation for now and hope that information will appear sooner than expected.
