Caterham AeroSeven Concept detailed

Feel like talking about something exclusive? Then Caterham is the appropriate topic. A Caterham is everything but an ordinary car. It represents the maximum point in the driving involvement, providing a sophisticated package of handling, road holding and ride excitement. And there are some hot news coming straight from the company. They regard the Caterham AeroSeven Concept. A few pictures of the concept have leaked from the inside of the company, so their answer was prompt. They decided to provide some details about the vehicle.

The Caterham AeroSeven Concept is going to be showcased at the Singapore Grand Prix which is held this weekend. The concept gives us an idea about how the production version, which will be released in 2014, will look like. The AeroSeven Concept is based on the latest version of Caterham Seven CSR platform.  It also borrows some elements and methods used in the Formula 1 segment.  It will be a premiere, being the first Caterham model to have traction control. The future drivers will have lots of fun with the fully-adjustable traction and launch control functionality.

The Caterham AeroSeven Concept is powered by a naturally aspirated Ford Duratec-based engine that produces 240PS (237bhp) and allows the concept to sprint from stand point to 100kph (62mph) in under 4 seconds. The unit powering the production version is still under discussion. The AeroSeven Concept signals the brand’s intentions in terms of product engineering processes, speed to market, as well as a hint to its styling direction for future models, including the all-new sportscar being developed in partnership with Renault and scheduled for release in early 2016.
