GM is thinking about developing off-road variants for the Yukon and Tahoe SUV

There are a lot of carmakers now that want to develop SUVs that are really capable of off-road activities. We do have to admit that these types of vehicles are now very popular and this is why people use them now on paved roads. Carmakers are now developing models that look like an SUV, but that do not have the capabilities of a real SUV which is a bit sad, but if it can be rectified, it is more than OK. General Motors did a lot of modifications to satisfy a smaller, but in the same time considerable segment of the market. The specialists did a lot of things to the Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban and also to the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL. These models have received stronger and also taller shocks, side plates, stabilizer bar, body cladding, different wheels and a lot more. General Motors is now thinking about the new generation of full-size Chevrolet and GMC SUVs which have been unveiled a few weeks ago. According to the carmaker, the models will be available for sale nationwide at the beginning of next year. The manufacturer will do a lot of efforts in order to enhance the range of its SUVs in terms of design. As it turns out, to transfer the output to the road, the engineers will use an 8-speed transmission to handle the power. In the photo gallery you will find several pictures that will help you make a better idea on what is happening now the plans General Motors has for the future.
