Jeep Cherokee SRT4 might become real

The Jeep is a brand of American automobiles that is a marque of Chrysler Group LLC. It first started as a military vehicles manufacturer. Although it still keeps its main purpose, the company is also producing mass cars that are quite desired by the army lovers or by the off-road keens. The Jeep Cherokee is a representative model for the brand. It set new standards for what was to become the modern SUV. It is among the 20 greatest cars of all time and it represents the best SUV shape of all time. The company’s officials are currently thinking of developing a 2014 version of the Cherokee.

The officials at Jeep think that a SRT version of the Jeep Cherokee would be great fun. They haven’t offered many details, but what they do is to ensure the fans that the chances of equipping the vehicle with the V8 6.4-liter HEMI engine from the Grand Cherokee SRT8 are zero because the engine will not fit. The SUV will probably come with a turbocharged four-cylinder rather than a thirstier six-cylinder engine and this should lower CO2 emissions. The engine will finish its work via a nine-speed automatic transmission which sends power to a street-oriented AWD system. Besides the change regarding the engine configuration, the vehicle will have a more aggressive look. Hopefully we’ll see the 2014 Cherokee running on the streets as soon as possible.
