Koenigsegg One: 1 detailed

The philosophy at the Swedish company Koenigsegg is one focused only on performance. Each and every detail of a Koenigsegg car is measured against the company’s continuing aim: to enhance vehicle performance. This is reflected in everything they do. Nothing is insignificant. The way they use their raw materials, the people working there, the setup of the facilities, the software, tools, systems and maintenance. Every aspect of the development process targets performance. A high performance vehicle will be the Koenigsegg One:1.

The Koenigsegg One:1 is currently in process of developing. The Koenigsegg One: 1 name is not accidental. One comes from the vehicles ’s 1 bhp / 1 kg ratio and this means that the V8 5.0-liter twin-turbo will be able to generate about 1,400 bhp (1,044 kW). This way, the hypercar will beat the records in the 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h), 0-186 mph (0-300 km/h) and the 0-248 mph (0-400 km/h) sprints. The maximum speed will be somewhere around 280 mph (450 km/h). All these figures place it above the supreme Bugatti Veyron, so this means that we’ll have another world record once the car takes the road test.

Christian von Koenigsegg, the company’s owner declared that a prototype version of the One: 1 will be ready by the end of 2013 and the production version will be limited to only six units. The One: 1 will cost a lot more than the current range topping car, Agera S. The owner believes that he will lose some money with this car. The same thing also happened with the Veyron. However, the purpose of the One: 1 is to increase the brand’s awareness and to make things easier for the future vehicles, being a research project.   It will be great to see the car’s performance once it comes out.
