Mitsubishi prepares three new concepts for Tokyo

Mitsubishi is an auto manufacturer that has always had success with its creations and that feels the need to keep pace to the trends relating the auto world. The officials have just announced that they are preparing three new concepts which will have their debut at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, at the end of November. The first concept will be called Mitsubishi GC-PHEV Concept and it seems to be a SUV. The second concept is named the XR-PHEV and the third one, the AR. The three concepts preview the Japanese carmaker's new design identity.

The GC-PHEV will be a nice looking SUV powered by a PHEV system (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle). It will also feature S-AWC (Super All Wheel Control) integrated vehicle dynamic control system. It will be equipped with next-generation preventive safety technology and driver support technology through wireless connectivity. The Mitsubishi XR-PHEV will enrich the crossover market and as the name suggests it will also be ruled by a plug-in hybrid electric engine. It will somehow look like a sport coupe. The third concept, the AR, represents a new MPV for the Asian brand.  This is the only one that won’t use the PHEV motoring. Instead, it will be powered by a down-sized direct-injection turbocharged engine. Hopefully, we’ll have more information regarding the three concepts before their official debut.
