Subaru have released information about the 2015 WRX. The manufacturer`s Managing director for the Australian branch, Nick Senior revealed details regarding the new car in a recent interview with an automotive news magazine. The 2015 WRX is expected to debut during the2013 Los Angeles Auto Show taking place between the 22nd of November and the 1st of December.
Nick Senior released insights from the factory`s opinion stating that the driving experience of the WRX is unique: `I think the real DNA of WRX over the time has been its driving credentials, and I know certainly from the factory point of view, the driving experience of the new WRX was paramount.` Furthermore, the head of Subaru`s managing department informed that he had driven the vehicle himself and that his personal opinion is that the 2015 WRX `will not disappoint`. Although Subaru have designed their cars for a certain target segment of the market, the new WRK is set for a larger audience. The manufacturer states that the car is to be enjoyed both by the current customers and by the new ones which are not yet familiar with WRX`s characteristics.
Senior also shared details concerning the production version of the 2015 WRX STI. It seems that the car is currently under development. The STI is due to be introduced a few months after the WRX hits the market in next year.
Subaru Australia`s chief did not indicate a price for the 2015 WRX, however he implied that the pricing will exceed $40.000. The vehicle is set to feature more technology and equipment than the existing models therefore the price will reflect `a strong Subaru value-for-money`.
Details about the Subaru WTX`s performances are still limited. The vehicle is expected to be powered by a 2.5 liter four cylinder engine with a minimum output of 265 bhp (198 kW).
