BMW have just introduced a new range of M Performance accessories for the BMW M5, BMW M6Coupe, BMW M6 Convertible and BMW M6 Gran Coupe. The accessories combinations have been designed exclusively for each of the above mentioned models.
The accessories were designed within BMW`s Munich plant in collaboration with DTM factory driver Martin Tomczyk. The accessories kit is designated to enable drivers `to experience that special racing feel on the road as well`.
The M performance accessories set includes a BMW M Performance exhaust silencer system. The system is made out of titanium and was conceived by BMW M GmbH and Akrapovic (world renown manufacturer of titanium exhaust systems. The new sports exhaust system is 10 KG (22 lbs) lighter than the standard one and it can be fitted in all versions of the BMW M6 as well as both the BW M5`s and among other it enhances the characteristic sound made by BMW`s 560 HP engine. Furthermore, due to the fact that it is entirely made out of titanium, the exhaust silencer system proves to be very corrosion resistant and notably heat-proof.
BMW included a number of carbon fiber components such as the mirror caps, a carbon fiber trim, the rear diffuser or the rear spoiler to their M Performance accessories range. Interior-wise, the vehicles can be tuned with M Performance designed floor mats and stainless steel pedals. To further customer the interior can be fitted with an exclusive leather wrapped steering wheel with a race display showing relevant information for the driver.
The M carbon ceramic brake system is also a major component of the new M accessories kit. The brake system was specifically designed for the BMW M GmbH models and it features carbon fiber composite ceramic discs which are very heat resistant and lightweight.
Regarding the M Performance accessories fitted on the M6, Martin Tomczyk stated that: ` its outstanding sportiness is expressed even more intensively`.
