2014 Honda Civic Si Coupe announced for SEMA debut

Honda has officially confirmed their intentions to showcase the new 2014 Civic and Coupe in a few weeks time during the SEMA show (organized by the specialty equipment market association)in Las Vegas. The automaker informed that they have sharpened the exterior styling cues and further enhanced the cars` performances in order to `make the best-selling compact car even better`. The revised vehicles from the 2014 Civic lineup will be revealed during a press conference set to take place on the 5th of November.

Together with the press release, Honda has also included an official photo, not very revealing but still, a number of changes are well noticeable. When first looked at, the picture reveals a revised bumper and a revised rear wing. In addition to this, the designers seem to have also updated the diffuser and also brought a new design touch for the taillight graphics. At a closet look, we notice that the vehicle rides on a brand new set of alloy wheels. Now, with all these modifications visible from a single, rear picture of the vehicle, it would presumably be safe to assume that the front side also has a few surprises on its own to reveal.

The Japanese manufacturer regards the Civic as one of their `key vehicles` and informs that they will bring a number of variations for the car at the SEMA show. Honda did not reveal any details concerning the engine`s performances though, but thinking of their promise to enhance the performance, we could expect a improved output from the i-VTEC 4 cylinder 2.4 liter motor. Its current performance is of 201 HP (150 kW) and a 230 Nm (170 lb - ft) peak torque .It is also expected for the engine to be mated with the same type of six speed manual transmission.
