680 bhp Toyota Camry NASCAR Edition going up for auction

 A few days ago, RK Motors Collector Car Auction (RKMCCA) have informed regarding their intention to sell a rare Toyota Camry NASCAR edition. The event started on the 31st of October at the Charlotte Convention Center and will close its gates today, the 3rd of November. The four hour auction was also simulcasted -using top of the range technologies-  to the United Arab Emirates yesterday as a preview for tomorrow`s 2013 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix opening.

Executive Vice President of RKMCCA, Bill Mathews stated that: `Our customers have tremendous confidence in the principals of our selling platform, which is shown by the number of “No Reserve” vehicles that we’re auctioning`.

One of the most important items to bid for is the Camry NASCAR edition made its word debut in 2010 during the SEMA Motor Show. The street legal supercar is a result of the united forces of RK Motors and Toyota. The vehicle is powered by a 5.9 liter, V8 TRD NASCAR engine. The engine is mated to a six speed manual transmission and has an output of 680 bhp (507 kW).

Furthermore, part of the event also featured the auction of a 2012 Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition. This car was offered with only 366 miles (589) on the odometer. The lightweight vehicle has a carbon fiber body kit and a revised suspension. The auto is powered by a 4.8 liter V10 engine mated to a six speed sequential gearbox. The output is of 562 HP (419 kW). The LFA Nurburgring Edition can go from 0 to 100 Km/ h in 3.7 seconds before reaching its maximum speed of 325 KM/ h (202 mph).

Rare vehicles collectors were offered the opportunity to bid for other rare vehicles such as: a 2000 Toyota Pioneer/MCI Worldcom Champ Car #97 (Lot #719), a 2000 BMW 528i M (Lot #206), a 1961 Ford Galaxie Sunliner (Lot #129), a 1969 ½ Dodge Coronet Super Bee (Lot #800), a 2001 Chevrolet Camaro Intimidator SS (Lot #132) and many others.
