Chevrolet will take the wraps off three new Corvette concepts during the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA). The Auto Show starts today in Las Vegas, and the event will close its gates on the 8th of November.
The special edition Gran Turismo was developed as a tribute for the 15th anniversary of Sony`s PlayStation 3 game. The manufacturer has actually built the well known race winning vehicle from the game. The car is powered by the LT1 6.2 liters V8 engine which uses the direct injection technology. The engine is mated to a seven speed manual transmission and has an output of 460 HP with a 465 lb – ft peak torque. Due to the Active Fuel Management system, the vehicle has a consumption of 29 mpg on the highway.
Concerning the exterior, the new Gran Turismo comes with a customer exterior paintjob, carbon fiber rear wing and hood, custom exhaust pipes and a custom made grille and front fender. The interior features custom trimmed Competition Sport seats with driver and passenger racing harnesses, a leather wrapped safety belt and a custom flat-bottom steering wheel.
The Corvette Stingray Convertible Atlantic concept was inspired from the right and left cost themes concepts and features exquisite private jet resembling details. The vehicle comes with a Carbon Flash Metallic front splitter and a rear lower diffuser. The vehicle can be optimized with an array of accessories including: custom five spoke wheels, Carbon Flash Metallic rear license plate holder, premium carpet floor mats or a windscreen mounted behind the seats.
Motivation is provided by a LT1 engine mated to a six speed automatic gearbox.
The Corvette Stingray Coupe Pacific Concept thrills with its carbon fiber hood and removable roof panel and is equipped with rocker extensions a satin black front splitter and a Carbon Flash Metallic rear spoiler. The vehicle can optionally ride on satin black aluminum wheels with a red stripe and is powered by LT1 engine (with a dry- sump oiling system) mated to a seven speed manual transmission. Interior wise, the auto comes with Competition Sport seats and a carbon fiber finish flat-bottom steering wheel.
More details will be known after the vehicles will have been presented during the SEMA Auto Show.
