Porsche shows the 2014 Macan at Weissach test track, interior revealed

Following other previews of the Porsche Macan`s technical specifications and exterior design, the company has now released a teaser video focusing on the vehicle`s interior. The footage was taken during the car`s testing on the Weissach track, Porsche`s main Development Centrer in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.



The Porsche Macan will make its worldwide debut during the Los Angeles Auto Show (22nd of November- 1st of December). The teaser video shows a clear image of the vehicle`s interior when paused at 0:49. The dashboard features a center display for relevant driving information. The interior cabin looks pretty much ready for production apart from the Recaro sport seats and roll cage.



As a reminder, Porsche`s first crossover measures 1625 mm in height, 1923 mm in width and 4675 mm in length with a 2807 mm wheels base ( just like the Audi Q5). The lightest version of the auto the S Diesel weighs 1898 Kg (4.184 lbs) and the Macan will be available in two other versions: S and Turbo.



Macan S Diesel`s motivation is provided by a V6 3.0 liter engine which outputs 258 HP (190 kW) with a peak torque of 250 Nm (428 lb- ft) enabling the car to speed from 0- 62 mph (0- 100 Km/h)in 6.2 seconds before hitting a top speed of 140 mph (226 Km/ h).



The S version will be powered by a 3.0 liter V6 engine with an output of 340 HP (250 kW) and a 460 Nm (339 lb- ft) peak torque. Equipped like this, the auto can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (0- 100 KM/ h) in 5.5 seconds before reaching its maximum speed of 158 mph (254 KM/ h).



Top of the range Porsche Macan Turbo is equipped with a 3.6 liter V6 twin turbo engine producing 400 HP (294 kW) with a 550 Nm (405 lb- ft) maximum torque. The vehicle sprints from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 Km/h)in just 4.8 seconds and hits a top speed of 167 mph (269 Km/ h).



Concerning the exterior, the crossover features Cayenne inspired styling cues with slender taillights, a tailgate mounted spoiler and LED infused headlights.
