Mitsubishi lineup introduced at Tokyo

As promised, Mitsubishi, the auto manufacturer that has always had success with its creations and that feels the need to keep pace to the trends relating the auto world, has just introduced three new concepts which assaulted the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. The first concept is called Mitsubishi GC Concept and it seems to be a SUV. The second concept is named the XR and the third one, the AR. The three concepts preview the Japanese carmaker's new design identity.

The Mitsubishi AR (Active Runabout) concept is covered in a striking green paint, and it represents the future generation of MPVs, that reunite SUV maneuverability with MPV features.  It is powered by a direct-injection 1.1-liter turbo working with a high-efficiency electric motor and a high-capacity battery. The XR (Cross Runner) benefits of the same hybrid powertrain as its AR brother so Mitsubishi sticks to its environmental politics.

The third concept meant to surprise the audience is the GC (Grand Cruiser) Concept. This represents the new idea of a Mitsubishi SUV and as the images show, it doesn’t seem too attractive. At least it’s a bit eco friendly, having a plug-in hybrid system with a V6 3.0-liter supercharged engine that works together with a high-output motor, an 8-speed automatic gearbox and a high-capacity battery. The Grand Cruiser features a full-time four-wheel drive system. For more information you can anytime access the official Mitsubishi website.
