Chevrolet has officially announced their plans to introduce two brand new Sonic Sedans to the Los Angeles Auto Show. The Auto Show event starts tomorrow and it will close its gates on the 1st of December.
The Chevrolet booth with certainly be a point of interest for this year`s LA Auto Show edition as the company is prepared to showcase thirteen new or heavily revised vehicles for the US market. Although the manufacturer did not reveal any of the specifications for their new autos, it is expected for the Sonic RS sedan to be based on the hatchback variant which made its world debut during the North American International Auto Show in January 2012. Based on this premise, the car is likely to come with the specific RS specific grille and an overall aggressive body kit. Of course, since it’s a new product, a redesigned interior is also to be expected. Concerning the vehicle`s motivation, it remains to be seen whether the Chevrolet decided to maintain the same 1.4 liter EcoTec turbocharged engine, as the Sonic RS is the only one in its lineup to output turbocharged power. As a reminder, the 1.4 EcoTec engine has an output of 138 HP (103 kW) and a 200 Nm (148 lb- ft) peak torque.
Another interesting auto to look forward to is the Sonic Dusk. Chevrolet offered a preview for this vehicle by showcasing the concept during the SEMA Motor Show. Again, specifications ware not yet made public, but the auto is expected to ride on 18 inch allow wheels and feature a Pearl Nickel exterior paint job and leather wrapped seats. Under the hood, we might encounter a 1.4 liter four liter engine with an expected 138 HP (103 kW) output.
In addition to this, the LA Auto Show will host the debut of the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado described as: `the most versatile and technologically advanced midsize pickup truck in the market`.
