Mini plans a smaller Mini

Mini originated as a specific vehicle, a small car originally known as the Morris Mini-Minor and the Austin Seven, launched by the British Motor Corporation in 1959, and developed into a brand with a range of small cars. Then it got under the administration of BMW. Mini means efficient production, economical car and social commitment, all mated with offering a fun drive. The company seems very interested in keeping its fans who are not at all few.

People love Mini, because it is a small vehicle that makes room everywhere in this crowded world of ours. But what would a more “mini” Mini look like on the global auto market? Well, that’s not impossible to see, because the company is coquetting with the idea of introducing a smaller version of the Mini, which, let’s admit, got bigger and bigger as generations passed.

The Mini is based on the UKL platform developed by BMW and it is the smaller platform the company has. However it doesn’t fit to the idea of making a smaller Mini, as it would be too big. So, the German brand is searching for a partner from which they can borrow a smaller chassis. The Mini officials definitely consider that the new idea of the Mini would be in high demand all over the world. Time will tell if they are right or not.
