The Ford Mustang gets eco-friendly

Since its constitution in 1903, Ford Motor has been a company whose automobiles changed the same rhythm as the world did. The company is present in the entire world, becoming a global organization and an unmistakable brand. The Ford “pony cars” are a symbol of the American company and one of the most famous is the Ford Mustang which has just been revealed as a 2015 year model. The officials at Ford are taking into account creating more eco-friendly versions of the Mustang model.

The 2015 Ford Mustang will be officially presented in the beginning of 2014.It will come with three engine types. There will be an entry-level 3.7-liter V6 engine that will generate at least 300 bhp (223 kW) and 270 lb-ft (365 Nm) of torque. The second engine type is the 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder that will produce more than 305 bhp (227 kW) and 300 lb-ft (406 Nm) of torque. And finally it has the range-topping Mustang GT which will be powered by a 5.0-liter V8 that outputs more than 420 bhp (313 kW) and 390 lb-ft (528 Nm) of torque.

As we find ourselves in the middle of the electric and hybrid age when it comes to the auto field, Ford takes into consideration building more eco-friendly versions of the Mustang. A diesel, a hybrid and an electric setup are planned. A nine or ten speed automatic transmission will replace the current six-speed unit. Ford hasn't released any figures for the three existing engines yet but if they become reality, we will certainly have the most economical Mustang ever.
