Infiniti will introduce the Q50 Eau Rouge Concept in Detroit

Japanese carmaker Infiniti tries to take advantage of the Formula 1 sponsorship, but in the end, who would not? As you already know, probably, after Sebastian Vettel was named director of performance, the luxury brand of Nissan launched the Infiniti FX Vettel Edition and now, the specialists are preparing to unveil a Formula One inspired concept car that has as base the Q50 premium sports sedan. The carmaker is thinking about presenting the model for the first time at the 2014 edition of the Detroit Auto Show which will take place earlier next year. The concept will be called the Q50 Eau Rouge and, according to the specialists, the model represents the design vision of a high performance variant of Q50. It sounds like it is going to be an amazing car thanks to that fact that it will include road car technology and elements that are part of their motorsport vision. According to the photos we had the opportunity to see, comes with aerodynamic styling upgrades and a lot of new design elements that have as origins the F1 world championship-winning team Infiniti Red Bull Racing. The aerodynamic elements we have mentioned are the front wing and splitter, but also the bonnet scoops and LED fog lights available. The performance will be the strong element offered to the model, but for the moment, there are no details from this perspective. Next year, at the Detroit Auto Show, the Japanese carmaker will make further announcements and then is when we will know for sure when the model will enter production.
