Bentley Continental GT3 close to race debut

There are many unique characteristics that define a Bentley. It is handcrafted luxury, distinctive design, breathtaking power and performance, a refined and exhilarating driving experience. And it is exactly the combination of these characteristics that makes this brand so unique. The British company has made very clear the intentions of manufacturing a Bentley Continental GT3 race car. And they did. The vehicle was officially presented at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year.

The actual debut on the race track of the Bentley Continental GT3 is getting closer and closer. The vehicle will be carried on the way to success by the drivers who will sit behind the steering wheel. They are James Appleby and Steve Tandy in the British GT Championship. The team will compete under the name Generation Bentley Racing. The two drivers have a great experience that will push the vehicle to a satisfying result. Or at least that is what the Bentley officials are hoping to happen.

The Bentley Continental GT3 is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that generates 600 bhp (447 kW). It works linked to a six-speed Xtrac sequential transmission which should get the 1,300 kg (2,866 lbs) race car to be a lot faster than the road-going model. The Continental GT3 is a fantastic package of British design and engineering, and it's eligibility for both British GT and Blancpain makes it a perfect racecar.
