2014 Mercedes-Benz V-Class teased, debuts January 30

Mercedes Benz have released a first official teaser photo of their new V- Class`s exterior. The vehicle`s full details will be revealed on the 30th of January, prior to its official debut set to take place in March during the Geneva Motor Show. It is expected for the car to hit the dealerships soon after the ending of the motor show`s 2014 edition.

Details regarding the vehicle started to surface the web starting months ago, beginning with information concerning the cabin. The photos depicting the interior of the reveal an elegant cabin featuring wood inserts and metallic accents, together with a chocolate brown leather upholstery.  Mercedes offers an impressive array of standard goodies such as a 3- spoke multifunction adjustable, leather steering wheel with the auto. The interior design doesn`t look much different from the manufacturer`s other current passenger autos although head designer Martin Kreidl informs something else. Kreidl stated that: ` We are using the same shell, but the interior is totally different in terms of look and feel`. According to this statement, there is much more to be expected from the soon to come vehicle.

As rumored, it seems that the company will switch the Viano nameplate with the V- Class as the auto will be a replacement for the low- sale rated R- Class. Bearer of the W447 code name, the next generation model will bring back the V- Class custom of giving the model a personalized name. Giving the auto a moniker is something the company left behind approximately ten years ago. Sources from within Mercedes- Benz informed that business owners which opt for the new V- Class will receive a more upscale specification vehicle retailed under the name of `Vito`.

Concerning the auto`s motivation, rumors suggest that we should expect a four cylinder. 2.1 liter diesel engine with an output of either 136 HP, 170 HP or 190 HP mated to a seven or even eight automatic gearbox.
