Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge concept at NAIAS

Infiniti, the luxury vehicle division of the Japanese car manufacturer Nissan, has started selling vehicles in 1989 in North America. The marketing network of the brand now includes over 230 dealers in over 15 countries. This year, at the North American International Auto Show, Infiniti has revealed the new Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge concept.

The Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge concept got its name from the famous turn at Spa-Francorchamps. It has got plenty of elements borrowed from Formula 1, so it is a sort of a road legal race car. It is defined by an aerodynamic body kit that includes carbon fiber parts (including hood and roof), as well as a set of 21-inch alloy wheels, an F1-inspired brake light and red brake calipers. Inside, the concept gets a two-tone red and black upholstery with an updated steering wheel, some special seats and red carbon fiber accents.

Infiniti doesn’t offer information about the unit powering the Q50 Eau Rouge. However, if the concept gets to a final production version, it will have to provide more than 500 bhp (373 kw) and 600 lb-ft (812 Nm) of torque. The future vehicle is supposed to have such a great impact on the market so that it can have enough strength to put an end to the German domination in the field. Well, that’s quite a raised goal. Still, the vehicle will have much to offer so it might come out as a great success.
