McLaren works on the so called P13 model

McLaren is one of the most competitive car manufacturers in the world, always raising the level of performance with the sports cars it creates. At last year’s Geneva Auto Show the newest of their vehicles has been introduced to the public, the McLaren P1, considered the most aerodynamically advanced car in the world. And the vehicle has already entered production and deliveries begin, so its time the company things of a new model to impress the auto field.

The future coming McLaren supercar is codenamed McLaren P13 and, although it is barely a plan, it has a direct aim: to compete with the Porsche 911. The company will also chose the Geneva Motor Show to present this new vehicle, but we still have to wait for next year to see the idea come true. It will borrow the same carbon fiber composite chassis from the 12C and P1 and power will be offered by the V8 3.8-liter twin-turbo engine that develops between 450 bhp (335 kW) and 500 bhp (373 kW). Power will be delivered t through the dual-clutch seven-speed automatic transmission which will enable the P13 to sprint the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in less than 4 seconds before reaching 185 mph (298 km/h).

The McLaren P13will weight 1,400 kg, making it mightier and smaller than the 12C model. Most of the styling effects will be inspired by the McLaren P1, which is now the range topping vehicle in the British fleet. The supercar will be priced at about 120,000 GBP.
