Skoda powering up for Geneva

The 84th edition of the Geneva International Motor Show is about to begin. It is probably the most important event of the year in the auto field. Many famous brands and tuning companies will be exhibiting there. Skoda is one of them and among the vehicles they will introduce, we will be able to see the Skoda Octavia Laurin & Klement variant.

Both the Skoda Octavia liftback and combi will receive the Laurin & Klement treatment. And this distinguishes them through a special set of 18 inch alloys, bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and LED taillights. For the interior Skoda has to offer a four-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a Canton sound system, leather & Alcantara brown upholstery and different decorative trims.

The Skoda Octavia Laurin & Klement will be powered by a 1.8-liter TSI engine that generates 180 HP (132 kW) or by a 2.0-liter TDI available with 150 HP (110 kW) and 184 HP (135 kW). The gasoline engine and the diesel unit can be linked to manual or DSG gearboxes while the high-end diesel comes exclusively with the DSG and an all-wheel drive system. The AWD setup is also available in combination with the 1.8 TSI + DSG and on the manual 150 HP 2.0 TDI. Besides this L&K version of the Octavia, Skoda will also take to Geneva its natural gas running G-TEC Octavia, the Skoda Scout, the VisionC concept, Monte Carlo editions of the Citigo, Yeti and Rapid. So, we won’t be disappointed by the Czech manufacturer, especially as it promises new or updated models every six months.
