Seat confirms crossover for 2016

Seat presents a range of cars that deliver the thrilling combination of superior engineering and pure enjoyment. Founded more than 60 years ago, it is a dynamic, design driven, young spirited brand constantly seeking to create new levels of quality car enjoyment. And this is what the people working for the Spanish automaker are trying to do with the new planned Seat crossover that, according to rumours, will be ready by the beginning of 2016.

The crossover segment in the auto field is continuously developing and it seems to attract more and more fans. So every important car manufacturer has such a vehicle in their fleet. Seat made clear the intentions of building a crossover which is currently codenamed Seat Tribu. Accord to the pictures released by the company, the Tribu is greatly influenced by its relative, the Seat Leon. The vehicle features a sculpted hood, a prominent character line and LED headlights. It also has plastic body cladding and squared off wheel arches.

Seat is the only brand in the Volkswagen Group that is not on profit. The new crossover is supposed to solve this problem, exactly because it will be part of a segment that has a lot of fans. 80 per cent of the Spanish brand’s sales have been registered in Europe, Spain being the most important part in the market of the brand. This solves the non-profit state of Seat, as the entire Europe has gone through a huge economic crisis, Spain being one of the most suffering countries. By 2016, things could go better and the crisis could diminish so hopefully the crossover will bring Seat back in the competitive area.
