The 2014 Honda Accord is better than the Toyota Camry in terms of sales

According to Honda, the Accord was the best selling car on the North American market last year. it managed to overtake the Camry, which in fact was in top in total volume retail and fleet buyers. Just in 2013, North American customers bought 360.089 Accord vehicles and only 342.007 Camrys. The overall deliveries for the Toyota sedan have reached 480.484. Now the carmaker is getting ready for retail sales and it is trying to improve this sector by reselling values. This makes them more profitable than fleet sales. The focus on retail sale has a strong connection with the high resale value of Honda products. This, in fact, is a key factor in the value proportion for the customers according to American Honda executive vice president of automobile sales, John Mendel. Sales to individuals made up more than 98 % of the US volume last year for the Accord. This model had the highest residual value between mid-size cars last year as per ALG, a company that has its headquarters in California. Honda also managed to obtain different awards in the mid-size category however the Camry is not in the top three. Both Honda and Toyota have been in competition in terms of sales on the North American market since the 1980s. This continuing pressure has helped other carmaker like General Motors, Ford and Hyundai obtain an advance in terms of sales
