Cenntro Motors develops the 2014 Kombi EV

As we all know, the true use for electric vehicles at this point in time refers to cost-effectiveness and maybe its profit-encouraging fact that for short delivery routes in stop-start traffic and congested centers will be possible. Taking this example, it is more than obvious that petrol or a diesel unit would not be as efficient as an electric vehicle. This applies even if we think at the latest downsized engines hybrids and stop/start applied, which is quite impressive. If the details presented above make you interested in electric vehicles, you might have to take a look in the photo gallery and tell us what you think about this VW retro-inspired commercial vehicle that will soon be presented in an official way to the North American potential customers. This might happen in the second quarter of 2014 and it is called Kombi. The specialists from Cenntro Motors will build it. It will have a front fascia which makes it look like a hippie bus. Because it looks quite interesting and different there are people who will love it, but there will be critics that will completely disapprove of it. Under the hood, the model hides a 6.8 kWh small battery which enables the car to accelerate and reach a top speed of 50 km/h. The maximum range is 80 km. a complete charge can take up to 6 hours despite the small battery. The maximum output reached is 17 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. For the moment, the carmaker has as plan two variations of the Kombi. One of them is the Green Space and the second one is the City. The efficiency for both reaches 240 mpg.
