Chevrolet considering RS and SS versions for the Tahoe

Chevrolet was founded way back on November 3, 1911. It was bought by General Motors in 1918. Since then, the brand has gained more and more terrain in the auto field. Chevrolet-branded vehicles are sold in most auto markets worldwide, with plenty of success. The company has introduced at the end of last year the Chevrolet Tahoe and they are now planning on introducing the RS and SS versions of the model.

The Chevrolet Tahoe is pretty appreciated by the public and the manufacturer also introduced at the 2013 SEMA a Black concept that offered a more aggressive and sportier look to the SUV. Rumours say that the SS and RS versions of the Tahoe are already under development.  The RS could receive a more aggressive body. Power will be, however, still delivered by the V8 5.3-liter engine which produces 355 bhp (250 kW) and 383 lb-ft (519 Nm). A potential Tahoe SS would most probably feature a larger V8 6.2-liter from the 2015 GMC Yukon Denali where it generates 420 bhp (313 kW) and 450 lb-ft (610 Nm) of torque.

Neither of the two versions of the Chevrolet Tahoe has been confirmed up till now but the officials hint the fact that it is very possible to develop variants of existing products that appeal to consumers and build on their performance heritage. Time will tell if the two versions or others will get to see the green light.
