The next gen Nissan GT-R to be more powerful

Any Nissan car is believed to be an important symbol of freedom, status and personal achievement. The Japanese company always keeps thinking of different ways to delight as many persons as possible. With their cars the power comes from the inside. The latest news coming from the brand is the approach of the official debut of the Nissan GT-R which will be introduced as a 2016 model year.

The new Nissan GT-R will be powered by a hybrid powertrain made of an electric motor that will be teamed up with the VR38DETT twin-turbo V6 3.8-liter engine. Together they will develop 800 HP (588 kW) thanks to the implementation of a KERS-like system manufactured in collaboration with Williams. The engine wears the signature of the Nismo group, the official Nissan tuner.

The new Nissan GT-R will sprint from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.7 seconds. The quarter mile should be done in about 10 seconds. The maximum speed will be around 211 mph (340 km/h). The current range-topping 600 HP GT-R Nismo costs 149,990 USD, without the 1,595 USD destination and handling charges. Considering these, the future GT-R should be priced somewhere between 120,000 and 150,000 USD.
