Ferrari Land in PortAventura, Spain

What do Spain and Italy have in common? Well, we could thing at a great number of things. But what do PortAventura in Spain and Ferrari in Italy have in common? Nothing just yet. But it is a sure fact that the prestigious Italian manufacturer wants something from the famous leisure park.

InvestIndustrial and Ferrari signed a deal to create a new area themed to the sports car brand in the PortAventura resort. This will be covering 75,000 square meters, will have to offer new rides, a 250-room hotel, restaurants, shops and car racing simulators. It is still uncertain if the new area will be part of the main PortAventura Park or if it will be an additional park with its own entrance, like the Costa Caribe Aquatic Park. It is expected to open in 2016, after an investment of around €100 million. Ferrari Land will be the second amusement centre themed to Ferrari in the world, after Ferrari World theme park in Abu Dhabi.

PortAventura is a theme park and a resort in the south of Barcelona, on the Costa Dorada. It attracts around 4 million visitors each year making it the most visited theme park in Spain. PortAventura Park is also the 6th most visited theme park in Europe. It is the biggest resort in the south of Europe. It has two airports within 30 minutes of it, including Reus Airport. It will be unique in the world due to the highest and fastest vertical accelerator in Europe which Ferrari plans to build there. The holiday season is about to start and PortAventura is an awesome destination, with or without the Ferrari Land.
