Toyota Yaris facelift almost ready for sale

The Toyota Yaris is a subcompact car produced by Toyota since 1999, replacing the Starlet. Between 1999 and 2005, some markets received the same vehicles under the Toyota Echo name. Toyota has used the "Yaris" and "Echo" names on the export version of several different Japanese-market models. The model reached the third generation in 2011. And now Toyota comes up with an important facelift for this last generation Yaris.

The Toyota Yaris facelift is supposed to enter sales in the coming months. The facelift brings some important changes in the car’s style. The front fascia is inspired by the one of the recently introduced Aygo. It features large trapezoidal lower grille combined with the upper one to create an "X" shape. On the smaller Aygo the LED daytime running lights are placed next to the fog lights. On the improved Yaris they have been integrated within the darkened headlights.

The Toyota Yaris facelift will also be modified at the back part. Changes might be influenced by the JDM Vitz. This means there will be some refreshed taillights, modified license plate area and an easily updated bumper. A new set of alloy wheels and an updated cabin with the latest version of the Toyota Link infotainment system will be available, too. The small vehicle will be equipped with a new suspension system which will offer better handling and comfort. The engine configurations remain unchanged. The car will soon be officially revealed and then we’ll have more details about its new aspect.
