Skoda Fabia to debut in Paris

The Skoda Fabia is a small car that offers you the space and versatility required for everyday life. With space for 5 people and still with enough room in the back for your luggage, it's the ideal small family car. Regardless of whether it’s the weekly shop, the annual holiday, or a trip to the garden centre, the Fabia’s boot won’t be lacking the space you need. So, the manufacturer decided to reveal the third generation of the vehicle, at the Paris Motor Show in October.

The second generation Skoda Fabia offers 315 litres of space with the seats up and an impressive 1,180 litres of space with the seats down. The next one shoul keep about the same figures, as the clients have been pleased with what it has to offer until now. The Fabia is as happy doing 30mph through town on the school run as it is doing 70mph on the motorway and of course, at its core is the traditional Skoda offer of value for money and that legendary 'extra bit of car'.

The biggest surprise of all is that the new Skoda Fabia will not be using the Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform, also used on the Octavia. However, the same engines used on the Polo will be powering it. Still, its exterior and interior will be totally different from the ones that exist today. The Fabia will come out as a hatchback and as a wagon. The sedan version is still under discussion, especially because the manufacturer also has the Rapid to fill that place in their fleet of vehicles. The new generation Skoda Fabia will enter sales at the end of 2014, or as late as the beginning of 2015.
