Porsche plans a new entry-level car

Porsche is a unique company in the auto field. It has strong principles and building sports cars has become an art for the people working there.  Porsche is the appropriate name when it comes to sports cars regarded as masterpieces. It is one of the most complex companies with strong ideals of making art, not just building cars.  The latest rumours are that the German brand is currently developing a new entry-level roadster.

Porsche is supposed to launch its new project that is the new entry-level roadster, in 2016. It will wear the 718 moniker. The same rumours suggest that the new vehicle will be based on the Porsche Boxster. However, it will be considered a lightweight vehicle. The model might be powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 286 PS (210 kW) or even by a 2.5-liter engine that produces 360 PS (265 kW), but nothing is official up till now. If everything turns out favourable for the project, the new car might cost somewhere around €39,000 which would make it about €10,000 cheaper than the Boxster. But time will tell how much of all these will become reality.
