Volkswagen Golf Variant Youngster 5000 presented at Worthersee

The Worthersee Festival is currently on the run in Austria, gathering everything from the Volkswagen Auto Group fleet. It began as a show for the Golf fans, but it has expanded to more models. 2014 will mark the 33rd anniversary, and it shows no sign of ever stopping! Over 140,000 enthusiasts drive to it from all over Europe, it’s a huge celebration of modern European car tuning culture. One of the vehicles exhibited here is the Volkswagen Golf Variant Youngster 5000.

The Volkswagen Golf Variant Youngster 5000 has been brought to Worthersee by a group of six Volkswagen apprentices from Zwickau, Germany. They are the first to propose such a body style for this model and they paint the vehicle with an Arancio argos pearl paint. At the festival we will also be able to see the Volkswagen Golf GTI Wolfsburg Edition, the GTI Roadster and Amarok Power.

The Volkswagen Golf Variant Youngster 5000 is equipped with an iPad-controlled 5,000-watt sound system installed in the skids at the back. Here is where it gets the name. The car also features a Bilstein suspension controlled via an iPhone, along with bumpers, side sills and seats inspired by the Volkswagen R. The vehicle is powered by a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine borrowed from the Golf VII GTI but upgraded in such a way as to generate 320 PS (235 kW), this meaning 90 PS (66 kW) more than the Golf GTI Performance version. Sty close to the Worthersee event if you are a VW fan and you will discover many interesting things.
