Mazda introduces SKYACTIVE-D 1 5-liter engine

Mazda specialists have been working really hard in the last few months. They have been preparing for the launch of the 4-cylinder 1.5-liter SKYACTIV-D clean diesel engine. This will come right under the upcoming Mazda2, which will show its face really soon. For those of you who do not know yet, Mazda2 comes with a known fascia with a prominent grille which is highlighted by distinctive headlights. This model will be released later this year and will come with the above mentioned engine capable of meeting the Euro 6 emission standards. The highly recognized motor contains a variable turbine geometry turbocharger with rotation sensor and has received a water-cooled intercooler as well. This is actually placed into the intake manifold to increase turbocharger efficiency and the response of the acceleration. The well-prepared engineers have managed to lower the mechanical resistance and improve combustion efficiency by installing water control valves. This is not all. They have also installed water jacket spaces in the engine cooling system. So that you know, the engine has a 1.497cc displacement and it is capable of generating 105 PS and 250 Nm of torque, figures available between 1.500 rpm and 2.500 rpm. The hope for the model is that it becomes the most economical diesel-powered model in Japan ever made under the JC08 test mode cycle, but of course, this is about to be announced. This is all for the moment of the matter, however we will keep you posted with further details.
