2015 Mitsubishi Lancer receives updates

The Mitsubishi Lancer is a compact car produced by the Japanese manufacturer Mitsubishi Motors since 1973. It has been known under various names, Colt Lancer, Dodge or Plymouth Colt, Chrysler Valiant Lancer, Chrysler Lancer, Eagle Summit, Mitsubishi Mirage in different countries at different times. Between its introduction in 1973 and 2008, over six million units had been sold.  According to Mitsubishi, there were nine generations of development before the current model. On the whole, we can say the vehicle has had plenty of success. And maybe this is exactly why the manufacturer decided on applying some updated on the 2015 Lancer.

The entry-level Mitsubishi Lancer ES will receive a new continuously-variable transmission which allows it to return an EPA-estimated 34 mpg on the highway (US). The vehicle can also be fitted with a new Value Package that includes revised instrumentation, Bluetooth connectivity and chrome interior door handles. The package contains soft touch upper door trim, rear disc brakes and a set of 16-inch alloy wheels. The Lancer SE AWC, on the other hand, will be sportier than ever. It will feature a "sport" front fascia, fog lights and restyled 16-inch alloy wheels. Other options include revised instrumentation, Bluetooth connectivity and a six-speaker audio system.

The Mitsubishi Lancer GT is the one with least modifications. It is distinguished by white contrast stitching on the doors and seats. The model will be equipped with a new Sun and Sound package that includes HID headlights, a sunroof and nine-speaker Rockford Fosgate premium audio system. The Lancer Ralliart will also be fitted with HID headlights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and a set of18-inch alloy wheels with a dark finish. The white contrast stitching and the aforementioned Rockford Fosgate premium audio system are kept for this model, too. Unfortunately, changes stop at the options, the engine of these Lancer versions remaining the same.
