More powerful Bentley Mulsanne to be revealed at Paris Motor Show

Bentley is, by all means, a name in the car industry associated with opulence and excess. Modesty is not one of their characteristics, especially because everything they do needs to be uncommon and the target is made of the upper class persons to whom luxury is a necessity. The car manufacturer from Crewe is planning to introduce a more powerful Bentley Mulsanne sooner than expected. And what a better place to do this than an international motor show? The Paris Motor Show, to be more precise.

The Bentley officials made clear their intentions of introducing a high-performance Mulsanne which would completely represent the company’s sporting luxury image. It will go the same route as the recently presented Continental GT3-R. In October, at Paris Motor Show, everyone will be able to admire the new Bentley product.

The more powerful Bentley Mulsanne will probably use the same twin-turbo 6.75-liter V8 engine but its output will increase from the series 505 bhp (377 kW) to around 550 bhp (410 kW) which should decrease the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint time to less than 5 seconds taking into account that the stock model needs 5.3 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 184 mph (296 km/h). It is very probably that we also get to see a mass reduction, as this has already happen with the Continental GTR-3 and the company’s trend is clear. It is almost certain that the new Bentley Mulsanne will come out as a limited edition. But we’ll just have to wait and see, won’t we?
