Dodge Challenger Hellcat might be the most powerful series production sedan

Dodge might be called the national American car maker. The brand has quite a tradition behind and success didn’t miss from the picture. The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat will sure complete this successful picture. According to the latest news, the vehicle might be introduced this autumn. After suffering a few facelifts, it seems it’s time for a new generation model.

The current Dodge Charger is available with more types of engines. The most powerful source unit produces 370 bhp (276 kW) and 395 lb-ft (535 Nm). And we are talking here about a HEMI V8 5.7-liter engine found in the R/T model. If that not's enough, prepare for the next "Hellcat" version which should pack at least as much as this engine mentioned above.

Another powering option for the Dodge Challenger Hellcat could be the V8 6.2-liter supercharged motor outputting no less than 707 bhp (527 kW) and a maximum torque of 650 lb-ft (880 Nm). The engine will reportedly be offered only with an 8-speed automatic transmission channeling all that power to the rear axle. The American manufacturer is quite short on offering too much information but if we were to consider rumours, we might get too see the most powerful series production this fall when the new Challenger gets to see the light.
