Audi Quattro reaches six million vehicles

The four rings brand is one of the most famous in the world. Audi is a complex company having everything a successful car manufacturer needs and it is present in the most important auto markets. The company is continuously working on new projects and many of them are based on the Quattro all-wheel drive system. As a matter of fact, the Germans from Audi celebrate their six millionth vehicle having Quattro all-wheel system and the best way they thought to do this is by manufacturing an Audi SQ5.

The Audi SQ5 has just left the assembly line in Inglostadt, Germany wearing a grey metallic paint scheme. It is destined for an unknown customer from the U.S. Audi introduced the Quattro system in 1980 and since then it has been used on about 170 different vehicles. The Quattro is still very popular today and almost 50 per cent of the vehicles produced under the brand’s name come equipped with it.

The officials from Audi state that Audi’s Quattro technology means dynamism and sportiness, the ultimate in precision and safety. When it was introduced, 30 years back, the system was thought to be a pioneer. Now, it can only mean one thing: technical progress.
